You can take the girl out of the islands...
but you can't take the island out of the girl.

I am passionate about cooking, and keeping my island roots in my everyday life. I love spicy food especially peppers, specifically habanero peppers. So I decided to put it all together and combine tropical fruit flavors with a little heat.


My mom always said “Don’t play with your food”… but I just can’t resist playing with flavors when I cook.


At first I just wanted to see how hot (spicy) I could make my sauces…so I made them as hot as I could tolerate.  Then I decided to bring the flavors of home into my sauces…and the journey began.  I missed the tropical flavors I had grown up with in the islands,  but wanted to keep my love of hot peppers in the mix, so I began experimenting with layers of flavor and heat…ISLAND GIRL PASSIONS  “CRAVE THE HEAT – LOVE THE SWEET” was born.

My favorite tropical fruit flavors that you will find in my sauces, jams and jellies are: Coconut, Guava, Kiwi, Mango, Papaya, Passion Fruit and Pineapple.

To give that special heat flavor to my hot sauces I use: Chocolate Habanero, Devil’s Tongue Habanero, Golden Habanero, Red Lantern Habanero, Trinidad Scorpion Habanero, Orange Habanero, Lemon Drop Habanero, Ring of Fire, Ghost Pepper, Serrano and Jalapeno.
